Hi everyone, I’m Han, a first-year BMB student. If elected Sponsorships Officer, I’d want sponsorships to feel genuinely useful to students and not just like a logo on a poster.

1. Sponsored Student Resources 💡

• I’d look beyond traditional event funding and try to secure practical academic perks, such as discounted or sponsored access to tools like BioRender for courseworks.

2. Sponsored BMB Coding & Data Skills Series 💻

• I’d work to bring in sponsors for events on skills like Python, data analysis, AI in healthcare, bioinformatics to students build confidence in skills valued in research, biotech, finance, consulting and more.

3. Personalised BMB Lab Coats 🥼

• I’d explore sponsorships or partnerships to help make BMB lab coats more affordable, with the option to add embroidered names for a more personalised feel.

Overall, I want sponsorships to directly improve the student experience. My experience reaching out to large organisations, including pharmaceutical companies and IP law firms, has made me confident in approaching sponsors and building partnerships that could benefit BMB students.
