My primary vision as President is to significantly expand the society's networking and events programme. My main goal is to design the first Skincare mini-Hackathon and host this next year! Additionally, as a BMB student, I want to host a lab conference where we can showcase the Sustainable Squalane Project and the amazing work our research team has been doing. I want to create more opportunities for members to connect with industry professionals, get the chance to attend talks from dermatologists (by working with ICSM Dermatology for joint events) and cosmetic scientists, and to collaborate with societies across multiple disciplines. Whether through panel events, company visits, workshops, or partnerships with professional bodies, I believe a richer events calendar will make the membership more rewarding and open doors for everyone involved.
