Marifer Rodriguez Gomez

Hi! I'm Marifer and I am a 2nd year Materials Student. I would love to be your treasurer for the new year, as I love Ceilidh, and the wonderful community that we have in this society. Born and raised in Scotland, I have a long history of learning dances and celebrating big events with a Ceilidh, and being able to enjoy them here in London has been an unexpected pleasure. It has been great fun learning not just the Scottish dances I was already familiar with, but also all of the Irish dances, and I love that it brings both Scottish and Irish culture to London.

After joining this year, I would like to become more involved as a member of the society, and becoming treasurer would allow me the opportunity to do this. If elected, I will make sure our society's funds are managed responsibly so we can all focus on dancing to some good trad music. I will work to keep our events accesible, cheap, and enjoyable.
