Candidacy for Re-election as Chair
This year as your chair has been one of the most fun experiences of my time in this uni. I have absolutely loved teaching you guys, organising events and the choreo, getting you snacks, as well as building relationship with the wider London community.
What I want to do next:
1. Grow our community - because we are the best bunch of people imperial can offer.
I want to bring in more dancers and make sure every new face feels genuinely welcome from their very first class.
2. Teach better
As your teacher in the last month, I promise to improve each class, making the sessions varied and fun, so that seasoned pros and begginers can all enjoy them equally.
Argentine tango is one of the most human things I know. It's about connection, listening, and showing up fully for another person for three minutes at a time.
I'll be approachable, responsive, and honest, also sassy and sarcastic (I won't change). I'll listen more than I talk, communicate decisions clearly, and make sure the committee feels like a group of besties.
If you believe in a club that's growing, teaching, and putting on events worth dressing up for, I'd be honoured to have your vote.
