Horatio Yeo

As Intensive Care Lead, I would aim to increase exposure to critical care through teaching sessions, case discussions, and opportunities to learn from clinicians working in intensive care, anaesthetics, emergency medicine, and acute medicine. I hope to make intensive care more approachable by focusing not only on advanced interventions, but also on the physiology, decision-making, and teamwork that underpin the specialty.

I have attended acute care and cardiothoracic/cardiology conferences, which have reinforced my interest in how different specialties work together to care for critically unwell patients. Through these experiences, I have gained insight into the breadth of acute care practice and the importance of physiology, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork. I hope to bring these perspectives into society activities through accessible teaching sessions, case discussions, and opportunities to engage with clinicians working across acute specialties.
