Nichchalan Jeganathan
My passion for acute care stems from previous placements where I observed numerous skills such as cannulation and different forms of ventilation being performed in a precise and quick manner.
I would like to be a general executive because I am passionate about acute care and would love to help the society deliver engaging workshops and tutorials that can interest and inform other students on what the specialty involves.
Why vote for me:
I am organised (through previously working with the former president of the society to plan and deliver a teaching series on intensive care, as well as organising a teaching series for MedEd).
I enjoy working in teams and so am more than happy to listen to any suggestions made by others.
Having been part of the society last year, I recognise the impact of the various sessions and workshops it can offer, and also what suggestions students made, which can be taken onboard to improve the sessions in the next year.
What I plan to do:
Work with other commitee members to deliver teaching series, not only on intensive care, but also on acute emergencies.
Aim to deliver more workshops focusing on skills that may not be taught as frequently, such as ventilation methods.
Thank you for reading my manifesto and I would be very grateful for your vote.
