Maria Alarcon Pitarch

Hello Physoc!! I'm Maria, and I am thrilled to become next year's Publicity Officer. I adore everything creative, from concept development to content creation (proof on ig: maariaalarconn). I am also a great organizer and enjoy connecting with people. Here are some of my objectives for the role:

• Maximizing promotion of opportunities for internships, research experiences and career events so that every member is up to date with what our network has to offer.
• Creating engaging posts that make physics feel exciting and draw more students into the society. Ideas for content include short-form interviews to students and staff members around Blackett and during events like the upcoming Open Day, funny trends/memes and publications of honorary achievements of our members.
• Connecting people within the society as well as with other societies through events so that we can balance this demanding subject with a little more (much-needed) fun!!

These are just ideas but there is much more yet to come!
