Finn Pendlebury

Hi everyone,

I'm Finn, a first year EEE student, first year dancer and I'm very excited to be running for the position VP of Social Dancing. Having joined the club last September, I can truly say that it has been one of the highlights of my university experience, and where I got to know a lot of my closest friends. Discovering dance has been one of the best things I have ever done; there is no better feeling than finally nailing those shines or having a great social dance (one where I don't mess up)!

I understand the time and effort that goes into organising the fantastic classes and events our society offers, and having performed with the Open Level team this year I also know what it takes to get a team performance ready. By working closely with my committee colleagues, I would endeavour to enable the best possible experience for casual dancers and certified salseros/bachateros alike.

Being part of Dance Club means a lot more than just steps or choreography, or following or leading, it's about communicating, on the dance floor and off it. I know what it's like to start dancing for the first time at university, and if I could offer the same sense of community that I feel to a new dancer it would mean the world to me.

My mission as VP would be to further expand and strengthen our society so all members, old and new, can feel part of something special.
