I am excited to apply for the role of Paeds Sponsorship Officer because I am genuinely passionate about paediatrics and about creating opportunities that bring students closer to the specialty in a meaningful way.

Previously, I have been Events Head, I have already gained hands-on experience in securing sponsors and working with external organisations. This has involved reaching out professionally, building relationships, and ensuring sponsorships translated into successful, well-run events. From this experience, I have developed strong communication, organisation, and negotiation skills, and I’ve seen first-hand how impactful good sponsorship can be when it is done well. I also genuinely enjoy the process of connecting with organisations and turning initial contact into long-term collaboration.

If elected, I would use this experience to strengthen and expand the Paeds Society’s sponsorship network. My aim would be to secure high-quality, relevant partnerships with hospitals, charities, and medical organisations that can provide not just funding but also valuable academic and career opportunities such as talks, workshops, and networking events. I would prioritise professionalism, consistency, and clear communication to ensure sponsors feel confident and valued in their relationship with the society.

Overall, I want to build on my existing experience to make the Paeds Society more connected, more active, and more beneficial for all members interested in paediatrics.
