Muslim Medics: Publicity Officer
I would love to join Muslim Medics because it has been one of the most impactful societies I’ve engaged with since joining university. I have attended almost every event this year and consistently found them to be well-organised, relevant, and genuinely valuable both academically and personally.
I have also volunteered at nearly every PotMed interview preparation event this year, which gave me a closer insight into the work behind the scenes and strengthened my motivation to contribute more actively to the society.
I am applying for Publicity Officer because I enjoy creative communication and social media engagement, particularly transforming ideas into clear, visually engaging content. I am passionate about creating promotional material that encourages participation and reflects a society’s identity, and I would love to help strengthen Muslim Medics’ online presence and outreach.
I believe I would be well suited to this role due to my extensive publicity and communications experience. This year, I have served as:
• Publicity Officer for MedTech
• Publicity Officer for the ICOGS/OBGYN Conference
• Publicity Officer for BADG (ISOC)
• Web Officer for PakSoc
Through these roles, I have developed strong skills in Canva design, social media management, branding, and promotional strategy.
Alongside this, I have delivered a TEDx talk, worked as a Student Ambassador, volunteered in paediatrics, and taught as a Muslim Medics Year 1 Tutorial Lecturer.
Overall, I would bring creativity, reliability, strong publicity experience, and genuine enthusiasm for supporting and promoting Muslim Medics!
