Oliver Thorpe
My primary goal as Treasurer of Imperial College Cricket Club will be to work alongside all members of the Committee and the wider Club in order to facilitate the best possible operational and financial management of the club, whilst maintaining its affordability and accessibility for everyone. I will work especially closely with the Sponsorship Secretary and President so that we can pass as much of the club’s costs on to external sponsors and reduce the financial burden on student members of the Club. I will coordinate with the Club Secretary and external manufacturers and partners to ensure that Club products are sold, manufactured, and delivered punctually, efficiently, and at the lowest possible price without compromising on quality. I will ensure fairness by making sure that everyone pays what they owe to the club promptly, whilst also being sensitive to individuals’ needs and circumstances.
I believe that I would be a very good fit for this role, as I am good at managing money responsibly and effectively. I am very proactive in finding the best possible deals on items and services such that Club members pay as little as possible. By engaging socially with everyone, I will be able to ascertain what everyone’s different needs are so that we can create the club that works best for everyone. I believe that I will be able to effectively lead and work well with all Committee members so that next year’s Club will continue to be the best society at Imperial. UTIC
