Alex Simpson

You may know me as the funniest, most hilarious, handsome-est member of Team Chamber Choir. You may even say I’m one of the Chamber Choir conductors of all time. Yep, it’s Alex Simpson, and I’m running to be your treasurer for next year.

Music Society is literally one of the best aspects of my life. I’ve tried my hand in leading an ensemble – a ROARING success, no doubt – but now is the time for me to grace the rest of the Society with an equivalent success.

But what do you need from your treasurer…? Well… I know you all love J. S. BACH too…

· Justified spending: maintaining transparency and well-reasoned financial decisions that prioritise the Society’s members.

· Sustainable funding: ensuring grants and society income are used responsibly to support our core activities, while protecting the Society’s future financial position.

· Better accessibility: furthering low-cost opportunities and actively reducing financial barriers to participation in Music Society.

· Asset responsibility: guaranteeing proper care of our equipment and resources, with attentive tracking, maintenance, and fair hire practices.

· Collaboration: as a member of exec, I will also strive to strengthen the relationships with our sister societies, making ICSM Arts ever more enticing.

· Heritage: continuing previous treasurers’ work to leave clear records, strong systems, and a legacy that will allow the Society to thrive into the future.

I pledge to achieve all of these and more when I’m bach next year as your treasurer :))))))
