Transplant and Vascular Society: VP of Transplant Surgery

Hi everyone,

I’m a third-year Imperial medical student running for Vice President of Transplant Surgery for the Transplant and Vascular Society. Having attended several society events, I’ve seen first-hand how inspiring and informative they can be in demystifying such a complex and high-stakes field. Transplant surgery is a specialty I’m strongly considering pursuing in the future, and I’m keen to take on a more active role within a society that represents it.

If elected, my priority would be to support the President in delivering high-quality, well-organised events that reflect both the technical and human sides of transplant surgery. I’d like to help organise talks that provide honest insight into the training pathway, day-to-day realities of the specialty, and the multidisciplinary collaboration that underpins successful transplantation. I’m also interested in highlighting innovation in the field — from surgical advances to research and ethics — to give students a broader understanding of its evolving landscape.

Beyond events, I would work to strengthen continuity within the transplant division of the society, ensuring consistent engagement and clear communication throughout the year.

I’m organised, dependable, and comfortable working behind the scenes to ensure things run smoothly. Most importantly, I’m genuinely motivated to contribute to a society that supports and connects students interested in transplant surgery at all stages.

Thank you for your support.
