Adithi Rajesh

Hi, I am Adithi, a 2nd Year Chemistry student running to be the Head of Industry and Outreach at the Hackspace.

As a member of the hackspace society, I have had the opportunity to contribute to the Entia collaboration project. It gave me insight into industry, helped me build connections, and made me feel a lot more confident about stepping into professional spaces.

As uni students in this incredibly difficult job environment, I know how hard it is right now to find internships or get meaningful industry experience. It can feel like everyone else already has connections or experience, and you’re just trying to figure out where to start. I was lucky to get that opportunity through Hackspace and I want to provide other students with the same opportunity.

As Head of Industry and Outreach, I’d focus on creating more structured, term-based projects across areas like medtech, neurotech, robotics, ai and other categories so there is something for students from all disciplines. I also want to establish a connection with more imperial spin outs as this will provide an avenue for students hoping to pursue entrepreneurship themself.

The hackspace already provides so much value to students, I only wish to open more doors and support students by building industry connections.
