As a student on track for a First Class Honours, I understand both the challenges and opportunities that come with studying EFDS. The course is diverse, and it’s easy for each year group to become focused on their own workload. If selected as Vice President, I want to help build stronger connections across all years.
I see this role as being a bridge within our community — encouraging more cross-year interaction, creating opportunities for informal conversations between juniors and seniors, and ensuring everyone feels comfortable reaching out for advice or support.
At the same time, I want to expand career opportunities through industry panels, alumni networking, and mentorship across various areas in finance. But EFDS should be more than just career-focused. I also hope to organise more casual events that bring us together beyond academics and strengthen our sense of community.
This role is a genuine commitment to me. I am willing to dedicate my time and energy to listening to students from all years and making sure no one feels overlooked or excluded. I’m also excited to get to know more of you and make our society feel more friendly.
We are a small cohort — and that is our strength. I want EFDS to feel less like separate year groups, and more like one ambitious, supportive community.
