Anisha Tripathi
Hi, I’m Anisha!
I've loved being on the Vision subcommittee this year because Vision’s values have always stood out to me as such a caring society of supporting and advising prospective medical students. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed helping out at all the conferences, whether as simple manual labour or volunteering at the workshops! I’ve been proactive when jobs cropped up during the days, and seeing the difference these conferences make for young prospective medics has reinforced my enthusiasm of being a part of this society. I believe a big part of medicine is community support, and I want to bring that support to aspiring medics who may not be able to find it anywhere else.
I have a range of experience organising events with teams, and have good knowledge of how this conference runs. In sixth form, I was a STEM prefect. I helped organise and run events and advertise competitions for younger students to take part in. From the ages of 16-18, I volunteered at my Cub Scout troupe, supervising children from ages 8-10 and organising activities for them to take part in; I worked in conjunction with the adult leaders. As an Explorer Scout, from 14-18, I regularly planned evenings, writing out extensive plans and risk assessments.
As Future Medics Conference chair next year, I will do my best to run an enjoyable and informative conference. The journey of applying to medicine is an overwhelmingly difficult one, and I would love to help future medics achieve their dreams!
Thanks!
