Madura Vigneswaran

Hi everyone! My name is Madura, a second year medical student and I am excited to run for Events Officer in Haematology Society.

As Events Officer, I aim to:

• Create opportunities for medical students of all years to explore the speciality through Q&A panels, career insight sessions, research opportunities etc.
• Interactive workshops and teaching sessions related to haematology
• Collaborating with other societies to highlight the interdisciplinary nature of haematology

My experience as Head of Sponsorship for Tamil Society has equipped me with the skills necessary for this role. I built and maintained strong, trusting relationships with external companies and sponsors, ensuring clear and professional communication at all times. At the same time, it strengthened my organisational abilities, as I had to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines, ensuring all sponsorship agreements, documentation, and financial tasks were completed accurately and on time.
