Hello everyone! I’m Stephanie and I’m standing to be elected as your Year 1 Lead for Biomedical Education Society.
Biomedical Education society has been fundamental in helping me settle into the rhythm of university studies, as it has been for many of my peers. My role as a social media subcommittee member this year has been especially instrumental in realizing the importance of this society as both an academic tool but also as a support system uniting BMB students across different years.
Through being a subcommittee member, I have not only a better understanding of the time dedication required of my position but also experience in designing promotional material for different events in order to drive interest and engagement. Additionally, as a prefect in my previous school’s student council, I’m used to acting as a point of communication between the general student body and teachers, which makes me an empathetic point of contact. By voting for me, I promise to do my best to deliver
- Open lines of communication between committee and members to better inform committee of demand for resources
- ncreased variety of resources that can appeal to different learners
- More efficient dissemination of information increasing awareness of talks about different assessments
