Representation is only the first step in making engineering accessible and equal to all, the next is industry integration and empowering women technically. I would say I am a builder first, by balancing ICLR roles and competitive hackathons and different projects, I would use this role to ensure female aeronautical students are not just participating but leading projects and in different roles.
As the Women in Aero Liaison, I would:
Create a Founders and Leaders Network: I would leverage industry connections to organise close and genuine networking sessions exclusively featuring female Chief Engineers and Tech Founders alike showing exactly what leadership looks like in this sector.
Cross Disciplinary Bridging: I plan to partner with other Women in Engineering groups to host joint technical workshops as the best aerospace solutions come from integration in other disciplines.
First year technical mentorship: I would create structured mentorship connecting incoming female students with upper year project leads so they would have the confidence and skill to immediately jump into heavy hardware and software roles without fear.
Vote for me to build a fiercely technical, highly connected community for Women in Aeronautics.
