Hi, I’m Sammi, a current year 2 BMB student and I’m excited to run for bimED Chair for the next academic year!
Being part of the biomED subcommittee has given me a good insight into how the society works behind the scenes and which events that students found most helpful. As Chair, I wish to keep the society supportive and low pressure while making sure it continues to run smoothly and stay useful and accessible to all years.
My main goals for the year are:
- Working closely with the rest of the committees to deliver useful revision sessions and academic workshops
- Keeping communication clear and consistent so members are aware of events and opportunities
- Maintaining a friendly and approachable space for both new and existing members
I am organised, reliable, and work well as part of a team, and I would focus on making sure the society stays active and sustainable in a way that reflects what students actually want and need.
