Akshara Suresh

Hello everyone, I’m Akshara, and I am running to be your Transplant and Vascular Secretary.

Through serving on committees and subcommittees across nine societies this year, alongside coordinating national teaching programmes reaching over 500 sixth-form students, I have developed the organisational and administrative skills needed to support the smooth delivery of society initiatives. I am confident in managing communications, maintaining accurate documentation, liaising effectively between committees, and working closely with ICSMSU to ensure events are well organised and run efficiently.

My Aims:

• Streamline Event Planning: Establish clear timelines, planning documents, and structured communication channels to ensure events are organised well in advance and executed smoothly.

• Ensure Efficient Administration and Organisation: Maintain accurate records, clear meeting minutes, and consistent internal communication to support transparency and continuity within the committee.

• Increase Member Involvement: Introduce a newsletter and structured feedback forms to gather student input on what they would like from the society and how we can continue improving their experience.

• Increase Inter-Society and Inter-University Collaboration: Work with societies both within Imperial and beyond to expand opportunities, including joint events, teaching sessions, and networking initiatives.
