Hello everyone, Afig here!

I am an undergraduate student, now completing my first year studying Design Engineering, and it would be an honour for me to be your next Chair for the Azerbaijani Society at Imperial College London.

Having been born and raised in Baku, and later completing my secondary education here in London, I’ve loved experiencing the best of both cultures. I am passionate about sharing our rich heritage abroad, and I would like to bring that same energy to our society.

My goal is to make our society a true "home away from home" by building a warm, approachable, and vibrant community where everyone feels welcome.

If elected as your Chair, I would primarily focus on organising fun socials and enriching activities that are open and welcoming to everyone, thus fostering a lively and inclusive atmosphere.

A big thanks to Huseyn, our current Chair of society, for his encouragement to apply for this position; this support gives me great confidence that I can step up and lead our society successfully in the coming year.

I am ready to commit to make next year amazing, and I would highly appreciate your vote to help our community thrive!
