Aryan Kakwani

Hi, I’m Aryan, and I’m really excited to be running for Research Lead for the Orthopaedics Society.

As the current Sports and Exercise Medicine Co-Chair, I’ve had the chance to organise events, work closely with speakers, and coordinate with different committees. Through this and my involvement in multiple societies, I’ve developed strong organisational skills and learned how important clear communication and teamwork are to making things run smoothly.

Alongside this, I’m currently involved in several research projects, which has really strengthened my interest in orthopaedics and academic medicine. Being part of these projects has helped me build confidence in critical appraisal, collaboration, and managing deadlines. As Research Lead, I’d love to help create more opportunities for students to get involved in research, whether that’s through projects, workshops, or mentorship.

I’m genuinely passionate about orthopaedics and keen to help grow the research side of the society. I’d really appreciate your support.
