Zachariah Rahman

My name is Zachariah Rahman and I am excited to be running for Research Lead for the Orthopaedics Society.

After attending the International Orthopaedics Conference hosted by our university, I developed a deeper appreciation for the innovation and research driving the specialty forward. I have also secured a research position beginning this summer, which has strengthened my connections with orthopaedic surgeons and provided practical insight into academic collaboration. These experiences have helped me build strong networking and communication skills that I am keen to use to benefit our society. If elected, I will provide regular updates on research opportunities, conferences, policy developments, and relevant publications through a concise and engaging newsletter. I also aim to create more accessible pathways into research by connecting members with mentors and encouraging early involvement in projects.

I believe our Orthopaedics Society has significant potential to grow and I am committed to contributing meaningfully to that progress. My strengths in networking and communication will equip me well to take on this role. Thank you.
