Vikash Jeyakumar

Hi everyone my names Vikash and I'm applying to be Publicity Officer for Orthopaedics Society.

I’m not coming in as an orthopaedics expert- I’m still figuring it out just like many of us.

I think that’s important. We would be learning along the way together and that’s what makes a society feel inclusive rather than intimidating.

It means I’m excited and ready to learn alongside you. Not everything at uni is about experience, most of the time it’s about enthusiasm and being willing to grow into the role.

If elected, my main goal would be to strengthen the society’s presence and engagement. I will focus on consistent promotion, interactive social media whilst highlighting events, research and theatre opportunities in a way that feels accessible to all years.

I want the society to feel welcoming whether you’re fixated on orthopaedics or just curious.
