Hi everyone, I’m Bilal and I’d love to be your Orthopaedics Conference Lead this year!

Over the past year, I’ve been to a few ortho workshops and careers events that genuinely made me excited about the specialty. The practical, hands on nature of orthopaedics and the immediate impact it can have on patients really drew me in, and I would love to help create that same spark for others.

If elected, I would aim to deliver a conference that is practical, engaging and hands on, with opportunities to practise key skills. I would also bring in excellent speakers who can provide clear advice about training pathways and share insight into the specialty, so attendees can leave knowing whether orthopaedics is right for them and what steps to take next.

I’m organised, enthusiastic and ready to put in the work to make it a success. As someone who tutors alongside medical school, I know what captures students’ attention and how to make sessions valuable, and I would design the conference around those priorities.
