Yesh Meadipudi

Hi, my name is Yesh, and I am applying for Treasurer of the Orthopaedics Society with the aim of combining strong financial oversight with ambition for growth.

Through my previous roles as Kit and Sponsorship Secretary for Imperial Medics Hockey Club, Orchestra Manager for Imperial Medics Music Society, and United Hospitals Conference Co-Lead, I have developed practical experience in budgeting, sponsorship negotiation, group organisation and financial planning for large-scale events. Managing society funds and ensuring transparency have been central to these positions, and I would bring the same diligence and accountability to this role.

If elected, I will prioritise clear and structured budgeting at the start of the year to ensure resources are allocated effectively across teaching sessions, practical workshops, conferences, and networking events. I am particularly keen to expand sponsorship opportunities by building strong relationships with orthopaedic companies and training bodies to increase funding and reduce costs for members. Greater financial security would allow us to subsidise skills sessions and explore new initiatives such as research events or collaborative projects.

Beyond the core duties of Treasurer, I will be a proactive and supportive committee member, contributing wherever needed to ensure we deliver the most successful year possible.

Above all, I want to ensure the society’s finances enable it to be ambitious and inclusive, benefiting all members with an interest in orthopaedics.
