Krishnii Sivakumaran

Hey everyone, I'm Krishnii and I'm excited to be running for President of Orthopaedics Society this year. Over the past year, I've really enjoyed taking on the role as one of the Conference Chairs for our international conference. It's been amazing to see how much the conference, and the society as a whole, has grown. Watching everything come together on the day, seeing the engagement and working as a team has been incredibly rewarding, and I'd love the opportunity to build on that progress.

Through my time on committee, I've gained a clear understanding of how the society works, where there's room to develop, and the potential to expand what we offer. I'd focus on increasing both the number and variety of events, ensuring there are meaningful opportunities across clinical orthopaedics, research, and career development. I'm particularly keen to introduce mentorship schemes to help students gain tailored guidance and insight into this specialty.

I've also been involved in other committees where I've supported events, sponsorships, and internal organisation and communication within the society. These experiences have helped me grow in confidence when coordinating between teams and managing events, and have given me a clearer understanding of what's needed to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Orthopaedics is something I'm passionate about, and this society has played a big part in that journey. I'd love to lead it next year and continue building on everything we've achieved together, while creating even more opportunities for everyone that wants to get involved!
