I wrote a similar manifesto for ProtoSoc chair, so I'll keep this short and sweet.
In my previous robotics program, I managed well into the six figures throughout the two years that I worked with my school's budgeting staff.
Across multiple accounts, endowments, donations, and sponsorships, I ensured that budget was always allocated from the right source to the right cause. In pinning the right expenditure to the right funding, I effectively balanced the goals of our sponsors, public and private, charitable and for-profit, in order to effectuate our team's goals.
In so doing, I maximized the availability resources to our team, built lasting sponsor relations, and allowed our team to work with in-development technologies in order to better my team's understanding of the technologies they'll be working with later in their careers.
The highlight of working with our finances was effectively doubling our budget through negotiations, pulling money from the optimal accounts, and soliciting additional funding when necessary.
If you want someone experienced in squeezing as much as possible out of a budget for the benefit of the students and the program, I'm the right choice.
