Hi, I am very excited to run for Respiratory Sponsorship Officer. It would be an amazing opportunity to be part of a society helping students in developing their interests within Respiratory medicine and I am also very intrigued by it. Respiratory medicine has been one of my favourite topics over the last two years.

I would love the opportunity to be the sponsorship officer due to my past experience as a head of sponsorship within International Tamil society committee. Through this experience, I believe I have built a transferable and relevant skillset for this role. I also worked with 2 other people and in our role we were responsible for securing sponsors for our large scale annual showcase with around 1000 attendees and months of planning. I developed my team working abilities through working in a smaller team within our larger team as I efficiently communicated with my team members, always discussing our doubts and thoughts.

I am also aware of the sponsorship system and how it works and the communication required to obtain sponsorships. Within Tamil society, we managed to successfully secure thousands of pounds as sponsorship for the event and I secured the main sponsor. I developed a strong rapport with new sponsors while maintaining healthy rapports with continuing sponsors. In addition, I have experience in catering sponsorship deals to each sponsor’s needs and values, showing my adaptability.
