Rachael Abergel

Hi I'm Rachael a 4th year medic and i'm running because ICSM RAG Fashion Show has shaped so much of my time at Imperial. I’ve been part of the show for four years, choreographed for the past three, and as current RAG Chair I now oversee the entire process behind it. I’ve experienced it from every angle, performer, creative lead, and organiser. And that perspective is exactly why I’m ready to lead it next year.

Fashion Show isn’t just one night. It’s months of rehearsals, ideas turning into reality, people stepping outside their comfort zones, and a committee working tirelessly behind the scenes. I understand the choreography, the walk transitions, the music edits, the rehearsal pressures, but I also understand the budgets, ticketing, sponsorship conversations, timelines, and the responsibility of delivering one of ICSM’s biggest fundraising events.

What makes the show special isn’t just the final night, it’s the standard we hold ourselves to throughout the process. The rehearsals, the collaboration between teams, the small details that slowly come together into something cohesive. That collective effort is what gives the show its impact.

If elected Chair, I want to build on that foundation with intention. That means being proactive, giving committee and cast clarity early on, encouraging creativity while maintaining structure, and making thoughtful decisions that strengthen both the experience and the final production. Rather than dramatic changes, I believe in thoughtful leadership, refining processes where needed, encouraging creativity, and ensuring the show continues to grow confidently year on year.
