Philippa Yuen

Hi! My name is Philippa, and I’m running to be your next RAG Vice Chair. My experience on RAG this past year has been nothing short of exciting and fulfilling, and I would love the opportunity to contribute even more in this role next academic year.

Despite having no prior committee experience, I threw myself in at the deep end by running for and being elected as one of the 2026 Fashion Show Chairs. In this role, I demonstrated my ability to learn quickly and approach challenges with an open mind. From navigating claims on eActivities to understanding the complexities of securing sponsorships, I adapted efficiently to new responsibilities and developed strong organisational and communication skills along the way. It was not an easy experience, but my determination pushed through to help shape an incredible event for the ICSM community and beyond, while raising money for charity. In the end, I was able to shape an unforgettable night that I am immensely proud of.

I pride myself on being both a team player and a leader, able to step into either role when needed. This flexibility is essential for the Vice Chair position, as I support the Chair as second-in-command while also guiding and motivating the rest of the committee. Through my experience as an active member of the ICSM Netball Socials Team, I have worked closely with a range of personalities and helping us achieve common goals.
