I joined ICSM Women’s Football almost by chance. After a conversation with Shuruthy encouraged me to turn my interest in football into action, I attended my first training session — and I’ve never looked back. This club has given me friendships, academic support, confidence, and a true sense of belonging within a team.
As the current Marketing Officer for Surgical Society (SurgSoc), I am accustomed to producing a wide range of marketing materials, from committee reveals and event announcements to full promotional campaigns. This role has developed my ability to create engaging, consistent, and professional content while managing branding, timelines, and audience engagement. Through SurgSoc and SORA, I have learned how to combine strategic planning with creativity to maximise reach and impact — skills I would love to bring to football.
I’m no stranger to a TikTok trend (so chronically online I had to download an app to limit my screen time) and would combine fun, relatable content with the more strategic marketing approaches I’ve developed.
I would incorporate:
- “Why I Joined” Testimonials
-
Behind-the-sceneces content: travel to fixtures, pre-game rituals, post-match debrief chaos
-
Player spotlights and “day in the life” features
-
Training Tip Tuesdays – Short, accessible skill clips
- Committee and team reveals that build hype
ICSM Women’s Football is a fantastic society, and I believe that if more students could see and experience the love, laughter, and light that flows through this community, we would have floods of people eager to join and be part of something so special.
