Loven Kumar

Hey everyone! I am Loven Kumar from Karachi, Pakistan. I can speak English, Urdu, Hindi and Sindhi fluently. I am in Stream Kensington and am running for EFDS society presidency and EFDS well-being representative.

I have a strong passion for Economics research and Financial Theories aiming towards Investment Banking. I believe I am a great fit for this role because I am currently working as a marketing officer and events and treasury assistant for EFDS society. I have also done a few personal academic research projects on micro finance and green finance projects. I have also achieved a distinction in Cambridge A level economics. While I might not be the smartest in the cohort, I am always ready to help our year group however I can.

I aim to host numerous EFDS-specific and other fun, engaging events, like expert networking panels from top companies and hopefully term end parties, golf or bowling get togethers and many other events. I aim to make EFDS soc the most inclusive, high-performing, and socially connected academic society at Imperial where students from other courses are curious to join this society as well. Furthermore, I aim to host weekly EFDS fundamental sessions for beginners and CV & Technical interview workshops and study sessions with additional questions before tests/exams.

Leadership is not about the title — it is about service. If elected Chair, I will work relentlessly to ensure EFDS delivers meaningful opportunities and expands firm partnerships.
