Imperial Medical Women's Federation (MWF) Society: Chair

Hi! My name is Akshaya Muthirulandi, and I am running to be your next Chair of Imperial Medical Women’s Federation (MWF).

I have always been passionate about women’s health and advocacy. As the current Treasurer of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Society, a society that works closely with MWF, I have seen first-hand the incredible impact MWF has had this year—including the hugely successful She Leads Conference. I would love the opportunity to build on this momentum and continue the excellent work already underway.

As Chair, I hope to:

  • Raise funds for a range of women’s health charities, supporting causes that make a real difference

  • Organise another inspiring conference, ideally in collaboration with other amazing Imperial societies such as FemTech and Obs & Gynae, to promote leadership, innovation, and women’s health

With my enthusiasm, dedication, and practical experience working within closely aligned societies, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the future success of MWF. It would be an honour to serve as your Chair and help make the coming year both impactful and inspiring for all members.
