Katherine Pease

Hi! I'm Katherine, your current Secretary, and I'm pleased to be running for the position of USA Society President!

I'm a current second-year undergraduate Civil Engineering student from Maryland. My first year, while I made plenty of other wonderful friends through my course, accommodation, and societies, I was immensely grateful to get to know a few other American students who simply understood many parts of my lived experience without needing them explained.

This year, I and the rest of committee have worked to provide additional opportunities for American students to meet and build friendships, from our get-together at the beginning of the year to Thanksgiving to the Super Bowl.

Next year, I hope to:

• Develop a system for members to have additional input in proposing events,
• Work with new connections at the American Students and Alumni Network (ASAN-UK) to increase exposure to American students at other universities, and
• Provide avenues for alumni to remain in contact with the society, members, and each other to continue building a network at Imperial after graduation.

I hope you've had a positive experience with USA Society this year, and with your feedback and support, I hope to continue building this community in the 2026-2027 academic year!
