Engineers Without Borders UK: Vice-President

Hi everyone! I’m Akarat (Bright), and I’m running to be your Engineers Without Borders Vice President.

Most people join EWB for the opportunity to take part in the EWB Project at the start of the year, and I completely get why. It’s one of the most valuable parts of the society. If elected, I want to build on that and make EWB feel active and worthwhile throughout the whole year, not just during project season.

My main focus is simple: more consistent events and more opportunities to grow.

First, I’ll help the committee plan a clear event roadmap across the year, mixing socials, skills sessions, speaker events, and career-focused workshops, so there’s always something members can join without waiting months for the next big thing.

Second, I’d like to start an EWB-led internal project pathway for members who might not yet have the industry experience to be selected for the main EWB Project. This would give more people a chance to learn, contribute, and come away with something meaningful from being part of EWB.

If you want a proactive VP who will help EWB stay consistent, inclusive, and career-useful all year, I’d really appreciate your vote.

Vote Akarat (Bright) for EWB Vice President, thank you!
