Kyojin Koo
Hello, I am Kyojin and I’m a 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student running for the Secretary position of Prosthetics!
I am currently helping to run the Leg team by inducting and teaching new members about prosthetics and manufacturing parts for the team.
I love the Prosthetics society as it is academic but more beginner-friendly for new members compared to other bigger academic societies at Imperial. Regardless of what year you’re in or how much prior knowledge you have on prosthetics, as a member of the Prosthetics society, your ideas, opinions and thoughts can shape the future of this club.
I wish to preserve this identity of our club, with hopes of recruiting more members next year, while also taking care of our current members, ensuring that their dedication to the club is worthwhile (shoutout to the Year 1s in Leg team). Thus, my decision to run for secretary.
If I am elected, on top of fulfilling the promises of our amazing previous secretary, I will ensure to:
- Organise multiple society events to bring together all the different teams to allow members to broaden their network and encourage collaboration
- Handle communications between committee members and to the wider club
- Re-organise the sea of files, CAD files and documents for easier viewing and access (especially to new members)
- Organise fun events, like game nights, to welcome new members and for club members to have fun!
