Chenhao Lin

Hello, I'm Chenhao. Today I want to share why I‘m suitable for this role and my policies.

First, I truly enjoy leading a team and supporting my teammates. Second, I am experienced in organization. I was my high school magazine club organizer, developing strong leadership skills.

If elected, I would focus on the following:

1. organize more society events
Last term we had 4 events (2 workshops and 2 talks). I aim to increase this to about 6 events a term to strengthen society life, possibly also improving member retention.

2. society participation
I noticed that one problem is many first year students lack enough technical skills, making it difficult for them to participate in teamwork. To address this, I propose to have more beginner workshops like arduino coding, improve teamwork efficiency.

3. strengthen member connections
Currently, many people don't know each other because we work in separate teams. I propose to host an icebreaker event at the start of every term for all teams, as well as a cross-team sharing session per term so people can understand and give advice to each other's projects.

4. attract more people to join
We can collaborate with other societies for joint events. Also, we only had about 20 Instagram posts since this academic year. I want to increase our social media presence by posting more with events, team progress and prosthetics knowledge.
