Hello everyone,
I am Apollo, and I'm running for the president of the Mindfulness Society.
Next year, I hope to secure a cosy and quiet location for our weekly meditation session, request more Union funds to help our activities grow sustainably, and train myself to be a better meditator and trainer.
I was a bit reckless, a bit 'not there' in presence, and slightly doubted myself, whether I am competent enough to lead a session when I’m only a beginner exploring this meditative process. But I want to ensure next year, there will be more opportunities on and off campus, a better environment for us to practice, and hopefully get us some peaceful moments at the time when we are busy and hectic, when life gets chaotic, to embrace it and convert it into something that we can harness for our spiritual practice.
