Nepali Society: Treasurer

I’m really excited to be applying for the role of Treasurer for Nepali Society. Although I haven’t previously held a committee position, I’ve attended events such as momo night and have seen firsthand how much effort goes into making them successful. Being part of those experiences has made me want to contribute more actively to a society that brings our community together.

As Treasurer, I would approach the role with responsibility, organisation, and transparency. While I may not have direct finance experience within the society, I am reliable and a keen learner.

If elected as Treasurer, I promise to:

Maintain clear, accurate, and transparent financial records
Budget carefully to ensure our events remain affordable and accessible
Work proactively to secure sponsorships and funding opportunities
Ensure funds are allocated effectively to maximise the quality of our events

I want to help ensure we can continue hosting cultural celebrations, social events, and opportunities that strengthen our connections and create a sense of community.
