Vikash Jeyakumar

Hi everyone, I’m Vikash and I’m running to be your next Education Officer for the Gastroenterology & Hepatology Society.

One thing I’ve realised during med school is that some of the most helpful learning comes from other students- whether that’s tutorials, shared notes or practice questions. I would love to help the society become a place where those resources are easier to find and more widely shared.

If elected, I would focus on expanding the educational side of the society. This will include organising more revision tutorials, creating shared question banks for practice and signposting useful resources that actually help when it comes to exams.

I would also like to make sure these opportunities are well advertised and accessible to all years. Sometimes societies can feel a bit exclusive or hard to engage with, and I think it should be the opposite of that. My aim would be to make learning opportunities clearer, easier to access and genuinely useful.
