Dhurkka Kumanan

Hi! I’m Dhurkka Kumanan, a 2nd year Medical student running for Radiology Conference Lead.

Having engaged with varied conferences this year across ICSM, I am keen to contribute to Radiology Society this year and deliver a well-organised, informative and valuable experience for our conference attendees.

Firstly, as Secretary for a cultural society at Imperial, I have developed my skillset in organisation, communication and logistics to help run large scale events. Having acted in SORA Subcommittee to support their conference, I have developed an appreciation for the logistics required to carry out these events and the care required to deliver them well.

If elected as Conference Lead, I will:

• Make sure to lead careful and considered planning for the conference to ensure it is educational and engaging, and caters for a variety of audiences
• Liaise with speakers and committee members with clear communication to ensure the high-quality of workshops and lectures delivered, whilst keeping within the budgeting for the society. I aim to highlight the key role radiology takes in patient care and pique interest in radiology careers.
• Keep well organised and take on responsibility for organising this event and running it to a high standard.
• Work closely with the committee to ensure the event is well run to a high standard whilst keeping within the budgeting and admin of the society

Overall, I am really committed to contributing towards Radiology Society this year - I’d really appreciate your support and hope to be part of the Radiology committee this year!
