Camille Firmenich
Hi, I’m Camille, a second-year Biological Sciences student at Imperial with a strong interest in sustainability, conservation and entrepreneurship. I’d love to help grow the Climate Entrepreneurs Club into a space where students don’t just talk about climate problems, but actually explore ideas and build solutions together.
One thing I’d focus on is bringing more disciplines together. Imperial has incredible expertise across science, engineering and business, but people often stay within their departments. I’d like to organise more informal idea sessions and collaborative events where students can meet potential teammates and start thinking about climate solutions from different perspectives.
I’d also like the club to focus on making entrepreneurship feel more accessible. Not everyone arrives with a startup idea, so workshops, founder talks and practical sessions on topics like climate tech, sustainability metrics or venture building could help more students get involved and explore the space.
Finally, I’d love to support and expand the Climate Pre-Accelerator. Since it’s already such a great initiative, my focus would be on helping more students engage with it, for example by running idea-generation sessions beforehand, connecting participants with mentors or researchers, and helping teams refine their ideas during the programme.
Overall, my goal would be to help build a collaborative and welcoming community where students who care about climate can meet, experiment with ideas and learn from each other.
