Akith Welikala

I’m Akith Welikala, a 1st Year Materials Science and Engineering student, and I’m running to be your next RSM Tennis Secretary.

Tennis at RSM is more than just a weekly session — it’s a community. It’s a space where we compete, improve, unwind, and most importantly, enjoy the game together. I want to build on the positive, friendly environment we already have and make it even stronger.

If elected, I will ensure our weekly sessions run smoothly, consistently, and as planned. From clear communication to well-organised bookings, I’ll make sure everyone knows when and where we’re playing, so all you have to focus on is your game.

I also want to organise more friendly matches — both within the club and with other societies. These matches will give everyone the chance to gain match experience, challenge themselves, and represent RSM in a fun, low-pressure setting.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned player, my goal is simple: to make RSM Tennis organised, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone.
