Finance: Vice President - Investment Banking

Hi everyone! My name’s Anshi, and I’m a first year EFDS student hoping to serve as your Vice President for Investment Banking at Finance Society.

I’ve spent the past few years building my skillset through internships in sector analysis, venture capital, and equity research. I’ve evaluated startups, pre-IPO and public companies for investment firms as well as been involved in their fund strategy exercises. I want to channel my experiences not only in the field but with organisational work and event management to help more students gain early, meaningful exposure to this field.

If elected, I will focus on three priorities:

  1. Early Guidance: I noticed a significant percentage of international students coming into Imperial never even having heard of Spring Weeks, and will make an effort to support students navigating UK recruitment systems. I want to work on clear guides for first-years on timelines, spring weeks, and CV positioning so no one feels left behind.
  2. Stronger Technical Preparation: Structured workshops on the fundamentals of valuation, financial modelling, and M&A case studies, ensuring members feel confident during applications.
  3. Deeper Firm Engagement: Building sustained relationships with bulge brackets, elite boutiques, and mid-market banks through networking events, deal breakdowns, and analyst-led panels.

My goal is to make investment banking within the society structured, rigorous, and genuinely accessible- helping members convert ambition into offers. Let’s raise the standard together.
