Hi, nice to meet you! I’m Matthew, a first year Thai student in Mech Eng running for Vice President for Investment Banking.
As someone who learnt finance alongside my uni course, I've been able to develop my financial report+presentation skills and identify areas to improve on in a really supportive environment through FinSoc.
If elected, I would love to improve on the society and help you out by:
- Communicating with top banks for visits, skill workshops and career events
- Introducing Investment banking case competitions with professionals from top banks as judges
- Organising mentoring sessions for each stage in applying to IB spring week and summer internships
- Setting up friendly networking events with professionals and alumni in the field for insights and networking
I believe I can apply my organisational skills from being a project leader and from being a co-founder for a non-profit initiative in rural Thailand. I’m excited to collaborate with the committee to grow the society from last year and introduce more opportunities for you 😀
