Bertran Maurelia Peidro

Hey everyone! I’m Bertran, but you can call me Beto. I’m a second year Computing student, and I’m running to be your next PAL, Postgraduate and Alumni Liaison.

Having volunteered long-term with the Logistics team at IC Hack, I’ve gained a strong understanding of how DoCSoc operates behind the scenes. I’ve also served as Social Secretary for the Spanish and Latin American Society, where I worked closely with the Union and organized large-scale events. These experiences have given me the leadership and logistical skills to manage this role.

As your PAL, I would love to work on the following:

• Termly events with alumni. We’re the second-best university in the world, and our students go on to work at the best companies. I want to build stronger ties with our alumnus by networking with them and setting mentorship schemes.
• Monthly postgraduate events. I want to create regular, meaningful opportunities for postgraduates and undergraduates to interact and collaborate more!
