Medical Education: Early Years Coordinator

Hi everyone, my name is Riya and I’m a second year medical student running to be your Early Years Coordinator!

MedEd resources have helped me revise throughout my time at Imperial and have allowed me to appreciate how valuable the support and guidance from this society is for students across all years.

As current Phase 1a BRS Crash Course Lead, I’ve managed a team of 12 lecturers and delivered multiple lectures covering the BRS curriculum while acting proactively on feedback to improve. Stepping into the role of Early Years Co ordinator would allow me to build on this experience using the relevant skills I’ve developed and further enhance support for years 1-2 helping them to excel in exams.

If elected I would aim to:

Grow question bank of exam style questions for all modules, especially SAQ
Guidance on portfolio building and extracurriculars
Expand LMAP revision including teaching sessions and realistic mock exams
