Medical Education: Early Years Coordinator

Helloooo

I’m running for Early Years Coordinator because I care about making the early years of medicine feel manageable, supported, and genuinely enjoyable. Those first two years can be overwhelming, and having someone who listens, understands the workload, and communicates clearly with staff can make a real difference. I’d like to be that person.

I’m organised, approachable, and used to balancing a lot at once, which has taught me how important it is to have clear information, realistic expectations, and a space to raise concerns without feeling dismissed. I want to help create that environment for first‑ and second‑year students. My focus would be on making communication smoother—whether that’s clarifying deadlines, raising issues with teaching, or making sure feedback actually reaches the people who can act on it.

I’d work closely with the committee to gather student experiences, identify recurring problems, and present them constructively to faculty. I’d also like to help create small, practical resources that make day‑to‑day studying easier, especially around tricky modules and exam preparation.

I’m not running to make big promises—just to be a reliable, thoughtful point of contact who will advocate for early‑year students and help make their academic experience feel more supported and less stressful.
